WE-bike rebates must be used to buy a new eligible e-bike that has been tested and certified to UL2271 and UL2849, sorry, they cannot be used for safety equipment only. There is a list of qualifying e-bikes at the bottom of this page, but we recommend you read the information below about eligible purchases.
All WE-bike rebate redemptions must be used:
- For a new and fully assembled qualifying e-bike purchased from a participating e-bike retailer
- For a class 1, 2 or 3 e-bike as defined in state law RCW 46.04.169
- For an e-bike, trike or adaptive bike that meets state law for bicycles RCW 46.04.071
- For an e-bike – with any remaining funds used towards qualifying equipment and services only when purchased all together in a single transaction
WE-bike rebates cannot be used for:
- Used e-bikes
- Previously purchased new e-bikes
- e-mountain bikes
- e-balance bikes
- e-bike conversion kits
- equipment only
- Online purchases from a non-participating bike shop
- WE-bike rebates cannot be stacked with other WE-bike rebates

Qualifying equipment
When using your instant rebate for an eligible e-bike purchase you can use any remaining funds to purchase qualifying equipment:
- helmet
- lock
- lights
- safety vest/reflective clothing
- child seat and any child seat accessories e.g. pad /rollbars
- basket and basket frame
- net for bike basket
- pannier rack and pannier bags
- bell or horn
- mudguards
- mirrors
- phone holder
- GPS tracking device
- trailer for hauling equipment or groceries
Qualifying Services
When using your instant rebate for an eligible e-bike purchase you can use any remaining funds to purchase any installation work or maintenance work agreed upon at time of purchase.
- e-bike assembly
- e-bike tune up
- installation of load carrying equipment e.g. pannier rack, child seat, basket
- delivery costs
Prices
E-bikes vary in price. It is unlikely your rebate will cover 100% of the purchase price of your e-bike, but if your bike purchase costs less than your rebate, you will not get a refund for the difference. You can use any remaining funds for qualifying equipment or services.
