Eligibility
To apply for a $300 rebate, you need to live in Washington state, be at least 16 years old, and have a working email address.
To apply for a $1,200 rebate, you also need to have an income at or below 80 percent of the median for your county.
Apply for the rebate
Fill out the pre-application form and verify your email address. If selected, you’ll submit documents following the program rules and timelines.
When the application window is open, you will see the button to apply.
Qualifying e-bike types
The rebate can be used for qualifying e-bikes, e-cargo bikes, and adaptive e-bikes.
E-bikes have batteries, working pedals and a motor. E-cargo bikes are for carrying cargo or multiple people. Adaptive e-bikes provide extra support or stability.
Save on an e-bike with a WE-bike rebate
The WE-Bike program offers people living in Washington a rebate to help lower the cost of buying an eligible e-bike. People age 16 and older can apply, with rebates of $300 or $1,200 depending on household income. Applications open March 30, 2026, and selected applicants will be asked to provide documents to confirm eligibility.
Overview:
- Applications open at 7 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2026.
- Random selections start Monday April 13th and are made the second Monday of each month.
- Those selected will need to provide documents proving their eligibility to receive rebates.
- If you applied during our pilot round in 2025, you will need to reapply.
- You only need to apply once to be entered into all future selections until you are either selected or the round of funding ends.
- Rebates are worth either $300 or $1,200 depending on household income.
- These rebates are unlikely to fully cover the cost of an eligible e-bike in the WE-Bike program.
